Gear Case

• Our gear case is made of high quality grey cast iron. Thick walls and ribbed construction provide rigid casings and good resistance to distortion while cutting down vibrations.
• Both the bearings of output shaft are located in housing as in “Block” or “unicase” housing concept, there by eliminating the chances of misalignment even under high radial loads on the output shaft.

Finish

• The casting surfaces are finished meticulously by removing all dirt and casting sand metal primers for rust protection and quick drying high luster synthetic enamel paint is used for finishing giving a superior look to the products.

Gears

• The gears are made from case hardened steel. The gear blanks are made on precision CNC Machines to give perfect squareness. The gear teeth are cut on hobbing machines.
• We have WMW (Germany) make in house gear hobbing machine. Gear are case hardened by modern hardening process ensuring practically zero distortion during heat treatment. Gear lapping ensures finer high spot removal.

Shafts

• The shafts are made from high carbon steel for toughness and are ground to high precision for perfect fits as per requirement.

Lubrication:

• Our gear boxes and geared motors are filled at the factory with precisely the quantity of oil required for splash lubrication.
• The gear units have a splash lubrication arrangement. Thus no special care required except occasion topping up of the oil to the required level. the gear unit is provided with an oil level indicator, drain plug and a breather plug. Before starting operations, the separately supplied breather plug has to be replaced by the filler plug.
• After about 5000 operating hours, the oil should be changed.
